Three people have been arrested in connection with the shooting that took place at Costco cash and carry in Croydon, south London. The attack left Colin Thomas, 24, in a critical state after he was shot at point-blank range during the raid. The devoted worker tried to stop the gang of five masked raiders before they made off with a haul of jewellery after smashing several glass cabinets with a hammer. The three suspects include two men and a woman and they are currently being questioned in south London. The men are aged 31 and 33 while the woman is 27. Detectives are still trying to trace the rest of the gang and have been trying to track down witnesses who were in the Purley Way area of Croydon between 19:00 and 20:00 BST on the night of the robbery. They hope passers-by or shoppers may have seen at least one suspicious vehicle nearby. If you have any information relating to the attack please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
